Happy has five letters… So does PIZZA.
I want to start with a disclaimer: I know there are other TO-DIE-FOR pizza places in this city. However, for the sake of keeping this post short, I wanted to contain the list to 5.
Comment your favorite & why!
1. THE FLYING GOAT/REPUBLIC PI
Same owners, similar pizza menu. Neapolitan pizza with eccentric flavors that just work. Flying Goat is a Spokane Classic & Republic Pi is a newer location with amazing appetizers. (“D” Street/ Cora/ Dalton)
2. VERACI PIZZA
They fire their gourmet pizzas with apple wood from Yakima Valley in screaming oven temperatures around 1000 degrees. Pick up a slice for lunch for $5. Their slices are so big you have to palm them. Locations in Seattle, Spokane, and Portland. (Primitivo)
3. FIRE ARTISAN PIZZA
Their Bitter-Sweet Chocolate Chip Cookie w/ Gray Salt and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream on top… yeah.. worth every calorie. They don’t skimp on the ice cream. It has so much flavor from the vanilla bean, and the cookie is fully baked but still soft. How do they do it??? (It’s bigger than it looks. Definitely enough for 2 people)
4. SELKIRK PIZZA & TAP HOUSE
Located in North Spokane. Fast & Friendly service. They strive to offer local flavors and ambience that is unique to the Inland Northwest. Fresh salad bar. (Thai Chicken)
5. THE BOILER ROOM
Great Happy Hour specials with fun flavors and atmosphere. Sign up for their email list to receive special offers. I used to think ranch was the best pizza topping, now I believe it is sriracha. (Fireball/ Criminilicious)
6. PETE’S PIZZA
The Calzone KING. Spokane’s Original Calzone. Locally owned and operated since 1972. Pete’s secret recipe dough and sauce is made fresh daily. Cheap calzones with a fresh, flakey crust. Packed full with cheesey goodness. (Spicy Hawaiian)
Keep eating, Spokane.
And, remember to tell them we sent you!
XOXO
Who are you, and what makes you a culinary authority on Spokane pizza? Agreed on the picks, but a few credentials go a long way! Go for it for it girl!
Can’t really tell if you are mad or happy with this post… but thanks for the support!
#1 South Perry Pizza, #2 THE FLYING GOAT/REPUBLIC PI
The boiler room. The flying goat. South perry pizza. Boiler room has them on taste , variety, service and atmosphere.
Spokane is a pizza goldmine. Something to also be said about every place on your list is the great beer selections they bring to their neighborhoods. Also add to your “credentials” awesome instagrammer !!!!
Haha, thanks for the love!
Fieldhouse left off the vote, great pizza
Pete’s hands down best calzones around……
No monterey cafe? Boo
Selkirk pizza was gross
Pizza Rita has always been one of my faves and very local. Pete’s is by far best calzone I have ever had. Rocky Rococo is very good but not just a local place.

Spokane does have some great pizza spots to dine in or take out. What I can’t find is where to go/who makes deep dish pizza. Any suggestions?
Try Dinardis or Bennidito’s!

would be nice to see what the best local pizza joints are now compared to five years ago. i would vote Dinardi’s number one, but i am a bit biased since i am from NJ and it reminds me of the local pizza shops i grew up with.
