FRANK’S DINER – A SPOKANE CLASSIC THROUGH THE LENS OF SAMSUNG GALAXY S9

FRANK’S DINER – A SPOKANE CLASSIC THROUGH THE LENS OF SAMSUNG GALAXY S9

Once a stranded Presidential railcar in Seattle during the height of the Depression, now an award-winning breakfast spot that serves 30,000 jumbo eggs and 2.5 tons of fresh hash browns per MONTH. We went for breakfast with a large group and, between all of us, probably consumed about 14 of those jumbo eggs!

All of these photos were shot on my Samsung Galaxy S9 from Verizon. With the incredible resolution, food photography setting, and impressive Live Focus feature, this phone camera rivals the iPhone X. The most impressive feature is the dual aperture that makes for sharper, clearer photos in low light (We tested this feature out at the Train concert at Northern Quest and it far exceeded the photos that I took on my iPhone X) and the 2x optical zoom for clearer shots from far away!

If you pay any attention to the Inlander’s People’s Choice Awards, then you know about Frank’s Diner because they have won Spokane’s Best Breakfast for 18 years and running. They have been serving a classic breakfast to Spokanites since 1906!

With over 100 years of experience, the staff at Frank’s know how to serve a great meal. The food is classic and consistent, the ambiance is relaxed and comfortable, and the service is quick and friendly.

Enjoy breakfast favorites like the Conductor’s Derailer (Belgian waffle or French toast, bacon or sausage, hash browns or fresh fruit and two jumbo eggs), Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, Eggs Benedict, one of their gigantic Omelets, or my personal favorite, the Fried Green Tomatoes & Eggs. I’m also a big fan of their Purple Oatmeal – packed with huckleberries. Whatever you get, make sure you have bacon. It’s thick, greasy, and salty… just as it should be.

If you don’t want to deal with the breakfast crowd, Frank’s also serves lunch and dinner. Try their classic Diner Style Turkey Pot Pie, Chicken Fried Steak, or a French Swiss Dip Sandwich.
