PHILLYCIOUS

PHILLYCIOUS

Phillycious is a locally owned, quick and easy, cheesy, fully customizable Philly cheesesteak spot with some Korean influence in north Spokane right next to Thai Bamboo. Man, that was a mouth-full. So was this cheesesteak. Their “Customer Favorite” comes with 100% ribeye with grilled onion, green pepper, mushroom, bacon, provolone cheese and chipotle mayo. All sandwiches served on a 8″ Parmesan Hoagie Roll (Freshly baked everyday), but don’t fret as you can add or remove any of their many ingredients and make your sandwich just how you like it. Even though you are free to customize your sandwich as you wish, they mentioned you should exercise restraint as pickles and pineapple should never be mixed. LOL.

The staff and owner of Phillycious go the extra mile and put in a lot of work to ensure your food is as fresh as can be. The bread is baked fresh and picked up each morning from Rosaures Bakery. The vegetables are hand selected each morning and chopped in house. All of their menu items are made fresh to order. Meaning, all of the ingredients are raw until ordered. Even their turkey! They take fresh-to-order to a whole new level. The owner learned how to craft a great philly after working at Bruchi’s and now he adds his own personal touches to make a good recipe even better.

Phyllicious has been serving their food for almost four years now and they don’t plan on stopping any time soon. They are adding some new Korean items to their menu, influenced by the owner, Dong, who is from South Korea.

We picked two of our favorites from the Korean selection. The Korean BBQ Rice Bowl and the Kimchi Waffles. The Rice Bowl is made with potato starch noodles, chopped veggies, and a sweet and tangy BBQ sauce over rice. The Kimchi waffles are fried and full of flavor with the perfect crunch, best when dipped in a little soy sauce.

Don’t be intimidated by their ordering system: The iPad. It’s simple to use and helps you ensure you are getting exactly what you want. Before you roll your eyes and think this is a result of the increased minimum wage, you should know that Phillycious has been using this method long before wages were raised. You can also order through their app available on iPhone and android. To make things more convenient, Phillycious is available for pickup or delivery within 2 miles of their restaurant.

The more you eat, the more you earn. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program where you earn 1 point per dollar spent. Get to 150 points and get a $10 credit.
