HOW TO HOST AN UNFORGETTABLE EVENT IN SPOKANE – CHANDLER’S BABY SPRINKLE

HOW TO HOST AN UNFORGETTABLE EVENT IN SPOKANE – CHANDLER’S BABY SPRINKLE

How to host an unforgettable event in Spokane? It’s pretty simple really… You hire these vendors!

After your first baby, it might seem silly to have another baby shower (at least I thought) but my dear friend Christina from Sugar Bean Parties INSISTED and I’m so glad she did! She put together the baby sprinkle party of my dreams! She has years and years of party planning expertise in Spokane and she’s managed to find some of the best in the business through trial and error and after this event, it is oh so clear that she knows what she’s talking about! The esthetic was classy, elegant, and perfectly blue. She rounded up some of her very favorite party vendors and created absolute magic for me and some incredible local business owners in friends in town. It was such a joyous occasion and let’s be honest, I’ll take any excuse to dress up, get together with fabulous people and eat, drink, and be merry!

If you’re also hosting a party, special event, baby/bridal shower, wedding, here is a list of the vendors we used and why we’re singing their praises to anyone who will listen.

Planner: Sugar Bean Parties

Christina, cake baking extraordinaire behind The Frosty Blonde, recently decided to take her years of party-planning expertise online and provide a resource for people in the area looking to hire vendors and create party magic. When you browse her page, you can find trusted recommendations for caterers, custom pastry makers, entertainment, decor, venues, mobile drink companies, balloon wizards, etc. All are sure to take your party from an enjoyable event to something people will be raving about for years and years to come! Browse her page for all the suggestions or shoot her a private message if you’d like more of a custom recommendation. Either way, you’re going to want to be her new bestie!

Staging & Tables: Pop Up Picnic

Speaking of people you’re going to want to be besties with… Jessica is one of my very favorite people! She’s genuine, extremely hardworking with an impeccable eye for design, not to mention an absolute badass (police officer by day). At Pop Up Picnic, they can create a luxury picnic set up perfect for your specific party needs! Whether it’s an intimate gathering for a few people or something more extravagant, Pop-Up Picnic will be sure to WOW. Plus, you won’t have to lift a finger for set-up or take-down which means you’ll have more time to enjoy your guests!

Venue: The FarmHouse on Greenbluff

Since my husband said we can’t have a second wedding, I settled on a baby sprinkle party at The Farmhouse! 🙂 This venue is the perfect blend of modern + farmhouse and adds that extra layer of class and elegance to your special day. If you’re not planning on hosting an event any time soon, you can still enjoy the Farmhouse at Greenbluff property in all its glory for U-pick flowers in the Spring, Fall Fest (beginning 9/23/22), or even Howl’oween on the Bluff.

Florals: Christina Rose Florals

Floral arrangements like you’ve never seen them before! Christina is a true artist! I’m sending a theme with people names Christina… She truly makes your vision come to life and ensures it’s ONE-OF-A-KIND. She’s definitely a trend setter when it comes to florists! She offers everything from minimal a la cart services all the way to full-service events where she takes care of all the delivery and setup to alleviate the stress on your special day. Not to mention, she’s sweet as they come!

Balloon Hoop: Honey Home Designs

Kiara is the jack of all trades! Her days consist of home staging and interior decorating but she’s a talented balloon stylist on the side and we feel so lucky that we were able to benefit from her time and efforts! Her customize balloon hoops are the perfect backdrop for your next special occasion! She will customize the colors to perfectly fit your party theme and she can even add flowers for a little extra pizzaz.

Photographer: KC England

KC truly saved the day when our original photographer was unable to make it at the last second! It meant so much that KC stepped up and helped capture the day after shooting a wedding at the same venue late the night before. She specializes in senior pictures, but she also loves to photograph families, newborns, and weddings. She even does some branding/product photography for small businesses! She knows the Spokane area SUPER well and can help you find the perfect spot for your next photoshoot. Plus, I didn’t think there was any way to make the event seem any dreamier but she somehow was able to capture the magic and beyond!

THE FOOD & DRINKS

Beverages: SipnEasy

Spokane’s first mobile event bar service! When I first met Alivia and Casey, I knew we had to find a way to spend more time with them! They’re the dynamic duo and you can tell they truly love what they do by the genuine smiles on their faces throughout our entire party. They can offer their services at weddings, birthday parties, baby/bridal showers, corporate events, you name it. They’re currently serving Spokane, CDA, and Inland Northwest Areas. Y’all, they literally brought fresh mint FROM THEIR GARDEN to use in our mocktails! Talk about dedication to their craft. They currently have two bars to choose from: MJ & Moonshine and you can’t go wrong either way!

Quiche: Birdies Pie Shop

Oh, Birdies. They are so near and dear to my heart. The owners, Sharee and Brad felt like family the second we met. I don’t know how they do it, but they’ve somehow found a way to bake their genuine warmth and love into each and every pie they create. You can walk into either of their shops (Post Falls or Hayden) and instantly, your mood is lifted! Not to mention, they make the best pie in the WORLD. No, like actually, it’s incredible! If you’re into savory, their quiche, spaghetti pie, and taco pie are the absolute best snack meal. Oh, and I dreammmm about their chicken pot pie. For our shower, we got the quad sized quiches and it couldn’t have been better. It was great for everyone to have their choice between flavors and get their own mini quiche! If sweet is more your thing, they have endless options to choose from and I genuinely can’t make a recommendation because they are all so unique and special to me. I guess you’ll just have to visit the shop and a couple to find your favorite – then make sure you report back to me because I’m curious! They also offer birdie bites for large catering events.

Bagels/Cream Cheese: Hidden Bagel Co

Scratch made bagels that will elevate any occasion. Jen (owner of The Scoop) set out on a mission to learn to make the best bagels in the region. She studied the techniques for weeks in New York learning from the experts and brought her knowledge and new skills to Spokane! I really put them to the test when I took my mom (a bagel lover and expert – in the sense that she eats bagels weekly) and she was blown away!! I recommend pre-ordering to make sure you get your favorite flavors, but you can also just swing by the shop and see what’s fresh and available! Don’t forget about their cream cheese! I’m forever grateful to them for teaching me about the rip & dip technique.

Cake: The Frosty Blonde

Oh Christina… where do I even begin when talking about this dear friend of mine. To know her is to love her! Nothing brings two ‘frosty blondes’ together like a love for food and Spokane. If you’re lucky enough to try one of her cakes, then you’ll understand why I sing her praises any chance I get! You might be like I was and see one of her cakes and think “oh, that’s far too pretty, it’s not going to taste very good”… if you’re thinking that then THINK AGAIN!!! She focused on making the absolutely yummiest cakes, flavor, consistency, filling, frosting, and THEN she focused on making them pretty so the number one focus has always been on flavor, and she delivers time and time again. If you’re wanting a cake from her for your next event, then BOOK EARLY because she has limited availability – tell her you’re my friend and she might be able to squeeze you in 😉

Cupcakes: Farm to Market Cakes

Chelsea is a stay-at-home mom who took up baking as a hobby and we are so glad that she did!! She makes all of her desserts from scratch using the highest quality ingredients to achieve the best cakes. Well, we can taste the quality in every bite! For my baby sprinkle party, she baked one of the most incredible cupcakes I’ve ever tasted. The frosting was rich and sweet, but never got old. The cake was moist and flavorful. and the COOKIE DOUGH FILLING… oh my gosh, I couldn’t stop eating these! DM her on Instagram to book.

Cookies: Coowi Cookie

Coowi reached out a few months before the shower asking if I wanted to try their cookies. They were a new ‘cottage certified bakery’ in town and they offer rotating monthly flavors. I’ll never turn down a cookie, but I hadn’t heard of them and wasn’t sure how good they’d be. Well, the second I saw them in person I knew I was in for a treat! Now, I’m usually good at sharing but I tried a bite of each flavor then actually hid them in the pantry so I could keep them all to myself. They lasted less than 24 hours in my house and I knew I had to have them at my shower. The hardest choice with them is trying to decide which flavor to try first because they’re all so incredible! All of our guests were oohing and awing over how good they were.

TAKE HOME GOODIES

Boutique Surprise Bag: The Shanty

When I heard friends rave about this “little boutique in Newport, WA” I was a little skeptical but since my very first visit, I’ve been a huge fan! First of all, their owner and employees are so kind and helpful. Second of all, their styles are killer! Third of all, they have a shop in store and online so you can shop until you drop, even if you don’t have an excuse to head to Newport. I always find special pieces there that I can wear time and time again. Tell them spokaneeats sent you and they might be able to share a secret discount code 🙂 At the shower, they were so kind to gift our guests goodie bags full of candles, jewelry, hair accessories, and so much more!

Bath Bombs: BeYOUtiful Bath Bombs

I have worked with Jessie, owner of beyoutiful, for years and she and her team have a special place in my heart. Jessie’s mission behind beyoutiful was that she wanted to create a brand and products that were clean and safe for all ages, but still affordable. They make and sell their own handcrafted bath bombs (you have to see some of them in person to believe they’re real), lotions, body wash, bubble bath, candles, and so much more! They are actually launching a BRAND-NEW baby care line any day that we’ve been sampling and absolutely loving! It brings me such piece of mind to know that the products I’m using on my babies are safe for their precious skin and bodies. Plus, they smell incredible. Beyoutiful so graciously gifted our guests custom baby boy bath bombs so everyone could go have a relaxing bath after the event!

Cotton Candy/Popcorn: Sugar&Branch

Think cotton candy is just for kids? THINK AGAIN! Lilly is such a welcomed addition to Spokane. Her journey to starting her cotton candy cart business is similar to mine with Spokane Eats… She came to town, saw an opportunity, there was no one else doing it the way she would’ve wanted as a consumer, so she saw an opening and just went for it! Her cart is so classy, elegant, and will fit any party aesthetic. Book her for your party and she will hand spin cotton candy for your guests and top each with your choice of sprinkles or candy. She’s such a kind soul and you’d be lucky to have her at your next event!

Chapstick: Chubby Chap

I almost always have Chapstick on me! In the car, in my purse, in my pocket, in my stroller, you name it! A girl can’t leave home without her Chapstick, and we love that Chubby Chap is thick (AKA harder to lose), moisturizing, smells great, uses great ingredients and is locally made! Find yours in various local shops (shanty boutique being one of them) or shop online.

Moral of the story… if you’re hosting any sort of event in town (or if you just want an excuse to support some fab local business) reach out to any of these all-star people and you’ll be glad you did!

XOXO
