Best Burger Hangout: The Backyard Public House
You may recognize the name Backyard from my “Best Burgers in Spokane” post. They like to refer to themselves as a “five star dive bar.” At Backyard, they specialize in Burgers, Beer, and Craft Cocktails. I have also heard rave reviews on their Pretzel Stick Appetizer.
They offer weekday and weekend activities to keep you entertained. When you go to Backyard, you aren’t just going for a good meal, you are going for a good time. Check them out on Facebook for updates on when they are hosting trivia night, live music, daily specials and Corn Hole tournaments.
They make a mean mushroom & swiss burger and the ‘Texas Burger’ is a sure, fire way to my heart. Blackened patty, house BBQ, carmelized onions, bacon, and cheddar. Their buns are made by Alpine Bakery and they are so fresh and fluffy. We also loved their s’mores sundae! I would come back for this alone.
Dan would also like to make sure that I mention they have great taste in music, as that is very important to him when chosing where to dine. The Backyard Public House is tucked away in a neighborhood on Broadway (near Maple) and they are a gathering place for all.
Keep eating, Spokane. And don’t forget to tell them we sent you!

He is up long before anyone should be, and he is a jack of all trades at Bene’s. You can find him in the kitchen, doing the accounting, social media, and whatever else he needs to do to make Bene’s a success. He has been around the block working in various restaurants around Spokane. Most recently at Backyard Public House and Remedy. […]
