I know there are a lot of mixed feelings that come with Valentine’s Day, but I think any holiday that gives you an excuse to show some extra love is a winner in my book. Plus, it’s my birthday so… double trouble!

I  received a ton of requests for a list of where to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year, so I narrowed it down to a list of 10 of my favorite romantic spots for a nice date night with your lover, your mom, your girlfriends, or fly solo and #TreatYourself!

We would love to hear where you are choosing to celebrate this year in the comments. Bring on the romance!

“Inventive New American fare served with craft beer & cocktails in a minimalist, modern setting.

LOCAL: We keep our food sourced within a 500 mile radius unless it’s an extra special item.

SIMPLE: These products are then prepared simply with local applewood and mesquite charcoal!

SHARE: Our food is served family style and is meant to be shared, let your server know if you prefer something different.

YOU CHOOSE THE PRICE: Let the chef know how much you would like to spend per person and he will guide your meal with the best of the season. Must done by entire table. Let your server know of any allergies or dislikes.”

“Big windows frame the refined, earth-toned dining room of this creative comfort-food specialist.”

We LOVE Wild Sage for all our special occasions. I believe that ‘a first impression is a lasting impression’ and they sure know how to make an impression at Wild Sage. You get to start your meal with melt-in-your-mouth popovers. Enough said.

They also have some gluten-free options!

“With a nod of respect to the year our Golf Club was originally established, 1898 Public House combines a storied history with modern flair. Led by Executive Chef Tyler Schwenk, our culinary team takes pride in preparing classic foods with a fresh twist, while using the finest ingredients. From hand-pressed gourmet burgers and house-cured bacon, to house-made rolls and charcuterie, dining at 1898 will be an exciting culinary tour for your palate. With signature comfort food dishes and unique combinations designed for the more adventurous foodie, we challenge you to eat and drink inspired at 1898.”

I celebrated Valentine’s Day at 1898 Public House last year (with my in-laws because Dan was out of town #romance) and it was fantastic! They offer a special 3-course menu including your choice of a ‘Cupid’s Starters’ a ‘Lovers’ Duets’ Entree and a heart-shaped Chocolate Pate and Cheesecake to share!

“New American dishes, including many vegetarian & vegan options, offered in polished surrounds.

Situated in the heart of downtown Spokane, Mizuna is the quintessential dining experience for locals and visitors. We are located within 3 blocks of most downtown attractions, including all Davenport hotels, the Convention Center, the INB Performing Arts Center, Riverfront Park, and River Park Square Mall.

Since our opening in 1996, our focus has been sourcing the freshest ingredients, and keeping the food simple to let the quality of the ingredients shine. We use organic produce whenever possible, and all-natural, sustainable meats. We have a full vegetarian menu, as vegetarian cuisine has always been a primary focus of ours. Words to describe our cuisine are seasonal, honest and clean. ”
