4TH OF JULY GUIDE: SPOKANE AREA

Who’s ready to celebrate the 4th of July with food, family, friends, and fireworks? As summer begins, so do the celebrations and festivities. Spokane is offering fun and safe events and activities for all ages!

Here’s our list of activities happening around town to spark (pun intended) some ideas of how to spend your holiday!

Firework Shows

This year due to Covid-19, things will look a little different with the Spokane Firework shows, yet still capture all the excitement and fun as usual! There will be four different drive-in firework displays across Spokane…

Dwight Merkel Sports Complex

Ferris High school

Avista Stadium

Plante’s Ferry Sports Stadium.

The shows will begin at 10 P.M. at each location, but parking is available at 8:30 P.M. giving plenty of time to find the perfect spot to watch! These shows are free and open to the Spokane community to enjoy. For more information, check out visitspokane.com.

Parade in CDA // 415 W Fort Grounds Dr

If you’re looking for a festive 4th Parade, then look no further! Head over to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho to partake in the weekend parade and activities. This family festival will begin on Saturday, July 3rd at City Park. There will also be food and entertainment (can’t get much better than that)! The Parade will begin at 11 A.M. the following day on July 4th. To finish things off, the day will end with fireworks starting after dusk. After canceling this event last year due to Covid-19, they are back and ready to kick the weekend off with a BANG!

Pavilion Light Show // 574 West N Howard St // 509.625.6600

In the heart of Downtown Spokane, you can watch the holiday Pavilion light show. Although Riverfront Park will not be hosting a firework show this year, you can experience a whole different display of lights. This is a great family activity to experience in Spokane, especially for 4th of July. This show lasts from dusk until 10 P.M.

Big Barn Brewing Company // 16004 N Applewood Lane // 509.710.2961

If you are looking to get your red, white, and BREW on, then we have the perfect spot for you (get it??). Head up to north Spokane’s Big Barn Brewing Company, which will have live music, food trucks, and handcrafted beer. This family owned farm/brewing company is the perfect place to celebrate this 4th of July. Grab a friend or family member and head on up to enjoy a warm and friendly Green Bluff experience.
