GLOBE BAR & KITCHEN

GLOBE BAR & KITCHEN

I know ya’ll read my post on Scotty’s Dog House….right….? (If not, go check it out here.) Today I’m talking all about Scotty’s sister business, Globe Bar and Kitchen located in downtown Spokane. The Globe has become well-known in recent years as one of the hottest downtown eateries, nightlife hubs and trivia havens in our city. This lively bar is decorated with ornate chandeliers, huge TVs, pub food & live music on weekends. It’s bold, it’s vivacious, and the Globe’s kitchen turns out some delicious food to take a fun night on the town from good to great.

Acquired by Scott Wilburn (Scotty’s Owner) earlier in 2017, The Globe made its debut under new management on Cinco de Mayo this year – and wow did they make a splash! While Wilburn kept many of the Globe’s beloved features (restaurant in the day and a bar at night, trivia events and the chef), he did invest in more lighting for the dance floor, and extended bottle service offer, a brunch menu and an extended patio, coming soon! But let’s get down to the important part: how is their food?! Let me walk you through what I ate and what I absolutely loved. Plus, stay tuned to the end for a special announcement of my next local event which will be hosted at The Globe!

Ginger Teriyaki Stir-Fry – Grilled chicken sautéed with Asian vegetables and tossed with yakisoba noodles, toasted sesame-ginger, and Globe’s hoisin sauce. If you’re a ginger fan, this one is for you.

Hummus Plate – Traditional hummus with warm pita bread, tomatoes and feta cheese. Light and delicious!

Salmon Salad – Grilled salmon atop spring mix with candied pecans, fresh strawberries in a sweet berry vinaigrette. Bars don’t typically present a salad like this, so take this one in, in all of its glory! Then again, Globe is far from your typical bar.

Western Burger – a half pound prime ground chuck patty, caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, bacon, and chipotle huckleberry BBQ sauce.

For dessert we tried their deep fried oreos and deep fried banana with candied nuts and ice cream.

If you are interested in trying Globe Bar and Kitchen, mark your calendars and join me on October 6th at 7:00 pm for a “Free Speed Dating Event”! It will be full of food, drinks, new friends and tons of laughs.

Come mix and mingle with Spokane foodies, young professionals, and fun people! Globe Bar and Kitchen will be providing complimentary appetizers and drink specials. This event is perfect for all relationship statuses: single, dating, married, “it’s complicated”. It will be a perfect opportunity to chat with other locals and make new friends. Must be 21+. I can’t wait to get to know y’all!
