Didier’s has been the premier north side diner for over 20 years. They went through a complete remodel in 2017 and their space and offerings are better than ever! Let’s put it straight. Their frozen yogurt is like no other. Their machines are $25,000 each, and they have FOUR, so they are clearly passionate about serving the best frozen yogurt.

The texture of their froyo is unmatched. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re in for a real treat. I don’t know how they make it so cream instead of icy like most other frozen yogurt. You will be fooled and think you’re eating “ice cream” but for way fewer calories and fat! (Until you add all the toppings, but let’s be honest, no one eats frozen yogurt to be healthy). Live a little and throw on all the toppings for .89 cents each! Come on Tuesday and get a medium yogurt for only $1.99!

They serve eight different custom-blended frozen yogurt flavors at a time with over 40 toppings to choose from! The flavors change every 4-5 days so you can always try something new and exciting. When we visited, they were serving Non-Dairy Juicy Pineapple, No-Sugar Added Berry Blueberry, Nonfat Peaches n’ Cream, Strawberry Shortcake, French Vanilla, Salted Caramel Corn, Mounds, and Ghiradelli Chocolate (my fav).

At Didier’s they go the extra mile to ensure they are serving high quality, fresh ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. They get their burger meat from Pasco, Cheese from Tillamook, buns from Alpine Bakery, and they have produce delivered four times a week. They even buy all of their huckleberries from local growers! I don’t know of anywhere else in town that serves local huckleberries year round. Their beef patties are hand-formed and never frozen. They offer weekly lunch specials on things like burgers, croissant sandwiches, soup, burgers, etc. They are open at 10:30 am until close.

This family-owned-and-operated establishment is one of a kind. Mom and dad run the show and their son and two daughters are working hard to make Didier’s and their south hill restaurant, The Chalet, a success! The Sasquatch Shakes are the brainchild and creation of the owners son, Nick, a Mead High School graduate!
