At Manito Tap House you can “Eat, Drink, and Beer Merry”. Manito Tap House is a perfect meet-up spot on the South Hill for good food and drinks in a low-key environment. They make all of their food from Scratch and feature 50 Tap Handles so your options are endless. The menu’s rotate seasonally and we are very excited about some of the offerings that will be on their new Spring Menu.
The staff at Manito Tap House is educated (they must pass a rigorous test before hire) and friendly. They are happy to answer any questions about the food, establishment, or just provide nice and friendly conversation. The owners at Manito Tap House are dedicated to supporting the local community. They are big supporters of the cycling community and they offer a bike rack outside for avid cyclers to safely and conveniently park while they come inside for food and drinks. In addition, Manito Tap House is passionate about preserving and protecting the environment. They are the first four-star certified “Green Restaurant” in Spokane and they are proud of it, as they should be! They use reclaimed furniture inside, a composting system, and recycled materials whenever possible.

Strawberry butter cream, lavender ice cream
They don’t skimp on the meat in these Smoked Duck Spring Rolls. They are stuffed full of duck that is tender as can be. These Spring Rolls are on of the appetizers that will be added to their new Spring Menu, and I’d recommend getting them while you can! This was my favorite dish of our entire meal. They were crunchy and hearty, in a sweet & spicy barbecue sauce.
We also tried the Tap House Burger with a side of Green Chile Mac & Cheese. This Green Chile Mac & Cheese takes this entree from a traditional burger to a new level. The 6oz. Gebber Farm beef burger is topped with Cambozola cheese and Manito’s own smoked onion & bacon marmalade, lettuce & a touch of mayo on a house-made bun. The onion and bacon marmalade adds great flavor and dimension to this burger. No ketchup or mustard necessary with this bold burger.
Once you clean your hands from the juicy burger, you’ll want to dig right into this mac and cheese. It is made with roasted jalapeños, anaheim peppers, chicken (yes- Chicken!), bacon and topped with panko, cilantro, jack and cotija cheese. You can order this mac and cheese in mild, medium and hot. The mild is completely bearable, so i’d recommend spicing it up a bit.
We finished our meal with the most beautiful Sugar Cookie creation I have ever laid eyes on. The mini sugar cookies are held together with strawberry butter cream and served on top of a light lavender ice cream. This lavender ice cream should be for sale in bulk! Where can I buy this delightful creation?! It was perfectly made and the presentation behind this dish gets 5 stars in my book.
What we want to try next time:

Chicken Curry Wrap
A brined & grilled chicken breast, mixed greens, cabbage, carrots, pecans, golden raisins & a medium-spicy beet red curry sauce; wrapped in a warm garlic herb flour tortilla (gluten-free on request)
