SPENCER’S STEAKHOUSE

SPENCER’S STEAKHOUSE

Spencer’s Steakhouse in Downtown Spokane is the ultimate fine-dining, steakhouse in Spokane. “Spencer’s uses only the highest quality 21-to-28 day aged, locally sourced, USDA Prime and Natural steaks and chops.” Their meat is tender, juicy, and full of flavor. If you prefer seafood, their coriander crusted halibut is a real crowd pleaser, as is the peppercorn seared wild salmon and cold-water Australian lobster tails. You can’t find a more convenient parking arrangement when attending a show at the INB as Spencer’s is right next door and they offer complimentary valet parking!

If you want something a little more affordable, don’t write them off because they have great Happy Hour deals and very affordable lunch options.

Here is what we tried:

CRISP CALAMARI 16
Crumbled feta, scallion vinaigrette

This was my favorite dish and I’m already counting down the days we come back to Spencer’s so I can have this again. It was such a creative and unique take on calamari. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect mix of calamari, feta, tomatoes, and scallion vinaigrette. Not to mention, the presentation was impeccable.

*SEARED RARE CRUSTED AHI 34
Ginger-garlic infused panko, cilantro wasabi crème,
corn hash

This was Dan’s favorite thing we tried. We could not believe how much Ahi was on this plate. I swear it was an entire fish. It is very difficult to find good Ahi year round, but Spencer’s must have a few secrets up their sleeve. So often when you order ahi at restaurants it is thinly sliced or chopped and you don’t end up getting that much fish. The dish is not lacking in the ahi department. You definitely get your money’s worth with this one.

Spencer’s Loaded Hash Browns
Applewood smoked bacon, Tillamook® cheddar,
sweet onions, chives, sour cream 10.50

The loaded hash brown have been on their menu since they opened in 1998. There is something to be said for a dish that can stay popular for that many years. But honestly, who can deny cheesy, bacon loaded, potatoes smothered in sour cream. Not I. The entree’s are a la carte and this is a side that goes well with everything, especially steak.

Now, of course, what is a nice dinner out without dessert? The desserts at Spencers Steakhouse are “made fresh daily and include cheesecake and warmed chocolate and fudge ‘naughty cake’ that will leave you blushing.”
