With summer just around the corner, local farmers markets are popping up in the Spokane/North Idaho area that offer fresh produce, live music, tasty treats, and so much more!

If you are balancing a busy schedule, there’s no need to stress. There are farmers markets almost every night of the week that are about four hours long, which means there will be plenty of time to grab your friends, grab some grub, and have a great time. Farmers markets provide you the opportunity to shop local, eat healthy, and find new go-to food items.

Here is a list of the farmers markets:

Monday:

Hillyard Farmers Market

Location: 5102 N Market St (the corner of Market and Queen)

Time: 3-7pm

Tuesday:

Fairwood Farmers Market

Location: 319 W Hastings, Spokane 99218

Time: 3-7pm 

Duration: May 7 through October 15

With freshly baked bread to hand-crafted beer, the Fairwood Farmers Market offers a variety of delicious food and refreshments that will fulfill any and every craving. Some of the vendors that will be set up in this North Spokane location are:

Wednesday:

Kendall Yards Night Market

Location: 1335 W. Summit Parkway, Spokane 99201

The Kendall Yards Night Market not only has vendors lining the street, but there are brick and mortar shops along the sidewalks such as Veraci Pizza and The Wandering Table. The live music is a great way to enjoy a fresh crepe or hand crushed lemonade.

There are vegetables, scones, pies, perfumes, bath bombs, jewelry, and even dog leashes to pick from. Some of the vendors include:

Millwood Farmers Market

The Millwood farmers market is another terrific option for finding fresh fruits and veggies while enjoying live music. This market is unique because it is hosted by the local church, so the community loves to gather for the food provided by artisans and farmers. You can also find flowers, plants, herbs, and so much more.

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Farmers Market

Location: 601 Sherman Ave, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814

Time: 4-6:30pm

Duration: May 15 through September 25

Downtown CDA hosts a bustling farmers market where you can drink beer, listen to live bands and singers, and purchase produce from local farmers. Many vendors are located in Idaho, and here are some you’ll be sure to see:

Thursday:

South Perry District Farmers Market

Location: 924 South Perry

Time: 3-7pm

Duration: May 2 through October 31

The South Perry District is a historic area on the South Hill that has been voted the best market for five years straight! This farmers market is all about providing quality, healthy, and affordable food from farmers and artisans from that are local to the area. Many businesses are family-owned, so you may even know the vendors! Here’s a few that will be in the district:

West Plains Farmers Market

Emerson Garfield Farmers Market

Location: 2310 N Monroe Street

Time: 3-7pm

Duration: June 7 through September 27

If you are looking for a farmers market with activities for kids, look no further! The Emerson Garfield Farmers Market has book readings and crafts that will keep the youngsters entertained. This market features bands and artists weekly, and it even offers cooking demos and cider pressing! With over 24 vendors, there’s bound to be a yummy snack or unique craft to keep you happy. 

Spokane Valley Farmers Market

Location: CenterPlace, 2426 N Discovery Place Mirabeau Point Park

Time: 5-8pm

Duration: June 7 through September 13

This farmers market has great parking and is just a quick turn off of I-90. If your kids are too rowdy, you can walk over to Discovery Playground where they can run off all of their energy! There is a craft beer garden along with local greens, sweets, and even CBD oil. These are a couple of the vendors that will be showcasing their products for sale:

Saturday:

Spokane Farmers Market

Location: 20 W 5th Avenue

Time: 8am-1pm

Duration: May 11 through June 13 (This market will also take place on Wednesdays at the same time starting June 13)

This farmers market started in 1998 and hosts various baked goods, flowers, and seasonal fruit. If you are looking for the sweetest peaches, apricots, cherries, and nectarines, this is the place to be! Local farms that will be in attendance are:

  • Paradise Prairie Farm

Kootenai County – Hayden, ID Farmers Market

Location: 7905 N Meadowlark Way, Hayden, ID 83835

Time: 9am-1:30pm

Duration: May 11 through October 19

This Hayden Lake farmers market has been around since 1986, and it comes back every year with fresh honey, meats, cheeses, and produce. This farmers market works closely with the one in Coeur d’Alene, so you will see the same vendors as listed for the CDA location. If you are too busy during the week, this Saturday market is the perfect opportunity to check out anything you might have missed on Wednesday. 

Liberty Lake Farmers Market

Location: 1421 N. Meadowood Lane – Liberty Lake, WA

Time: 9am-1pm

Duration: May 18 through October 12

The Liberty Lake farmers market is a great place to shop, eat, and gather with friends and family. Whether you’re craving stir fry, doughnuts, or chips and salsa, this place has it all! Some of the vendors that will make it out there are:
