SPOKANE RESTAURANT WARS 2017

SPOKANE RESTAURANT WARS 2017

Guys… I have a confession. Last week I had dinner with Kris, the founder of Restaurant Wars, and it’s possible that he left behind a very important envelope with the full list of restaurants participating in Restaurant Wars this year. This list was top secret. Key word: WAS. I’m LEAKING IT right here, right now. The list isn’t even on the Restaurant Wars website or social media yet. I want to make sure that “Spokaneeats” followers are the first to know about the best things happening in town, so here you go!

The event will be split up into 3 categories: Meat, Vegetarian, and Gastropub.

MEAT: Clover, Max, Gilded Unicorn, Brunchunette,  Chaps, Casper Fry

VEGETARIAN: Wandering Table, Tortilla Union, Wasabi, Zona Blanca, Fourty-One South, Durkin’s

GASTROPUB: Onion, Republic Kitchen + Taphouse, Timber, Palouse Bar and Grill, Manito Tap House, Prohibition

Restaurant Wars was the 2016 foodie event of the year in Spokane. Restaurant owners, chefs, vendors, foodies and Spokanites of all ages gathered and sampled small plates from a variety of top local restaurants. After sampling from each restaurant, enjoying the music and other festivities, attendees could text in their vote for thePeople‘s Choice Winner”. The winner of Restaurant Wars last year was Clover. (They got my vote) This was such a great event because there are so many restaurants all over town that it is impossible to try them all. I was exposed to many new restaurants at this event that have become some of my favorites: Clover, 1898 Public House, Hay J’s and more.

As Kris and I met to chat (and eat, because a meeting without food is just a waste of time) I was really impressed by all of the improvements he is making on this year’s Restaurant Wars. He is the first to admit there were some technical issues with last years event, and now he is taking full responsibility to ensure this year will be bigger, better, and batter. See what I did there? Restaurant Wars will be held on the Spokane Indians Baseball Field at Avista Stadium September 30th! Last year there were around 3,000 attendees total. Tickets will sell out fast so get yours early to make sure you don’t miss out on all the fun: www.restaurant-wars.com.

Restaurant Wars aims to put the best of the best in one place for one night. Come for the live music, chef demos, and ball-park atmosphere. I’ll be there and I’d love to meet y’all too!

XOXO
