Thanksgiving is just around the corner and it’s officially pie season! Though, let’s face it, we don’t need a holiday to tell us it’s ok to eat pie. I put together a list of some of my favorite pies in town, so you can splurge on the best during this holiday season! But first… some fun pie statistics from Shari’s:
  • Pie is so special it has three days: Dec 1st and Jan 23rd are National Pie Days and Mar 14th is Pi Day!
  • 1 in 5 Americans claim to have eaten an entire pie by themselves.
  • 47% of Americans think of the word “comforting” when they think of pie.
  • 9% of Americans eat their pie crust first!
  • 18% of Americans say their wife makes the best pie.
  • Only 2% of Americans say their husband makes the best pie.

Birdie’s Pie Shop

1003 N Spokane St, Post Falls, ID 83854 // (208) 457-7004

Ok, so Birdies is not actually in Spokane but it’s right next door in Post Falls and we can guarantee that it is 100% worth the drive! You say G O O D P I E, I say H E L L O! Serving absurdly delicious pies to the Spokane and North Idaho regions. Choose from a whole pie, personal pies, quads (a group of four personal pies), bites (a two-bite, full flavor dynamo), or even gluten-free pie!

They make a mean quiche and have chicken pot pie if you’re in the mood for savory. In the mood for sweet? Where do we begin. Chocolate cream pie, triple berry pie, apple pie, key lime pie, classic pecan, lemon meringue and raspberry cream pie! Drooling yet?
