SHORT BUS BISTRO (CLOSED)

SHORT BUS BISTRO (CLOSED)

Short Bus Bistro was permanently closed in 2017.

Short Bus Bistro is a couple of local entrepreneurs dream come to life. They refurbished an old school bus and turned it into a food truck serving up American burgers and fried chicken sandwiches, each with their own special spin. They love the Inland Northwest and work to create the best customer experience, made with fresh, local ingredients and a whole lot of passion and hard work.

The Alamo Burger is their best seller. It comes with a huge, crunchy, fried onion and it’s doused in barbecue sauce. If you like some spiciness in your burger, this is the one for you. If you want to try something different go for their Bitter-root Burger made complete with toasted marshmallow! It’s a real crowd pleaser. Short Bus Bistro is located in the parking lot of a gas station on Maple, right next to Maple Street Bistro. They have only been in business for about 3 months.

We also tried the Kilauea Fried Chicken Sandwich. This chicken is thickly battered and fried up nice and crispy. Their beer battered fries and they are unique and scrumptious. They have a lot more flavor than your typical french fry. Don’t get a burger or sandwich without trying these fries. The guys who started Short Bus Bistro are all from the Shadle Neighborhood and they’ve stayed close to home. Their hours are tues-sat 11:30-8 and Sunday 11:30-5. Give them a try and support local business. They deserve it!
