Every spring, Spokane bursts into vibrant life, not just with the blossoming landscapes but with the infectious energy of Bloomsday, the city’s beloved annual road race. Since 1977, Bloomsday has been a beloved tradition fostering health, fitness, and community spirit.

A Race Like No Other

Bloomsday is more than a simple road race; it’s a 12-kilometer journey through the heart of Spokane that attracts participants of all ages and abilities. From elite athletes to casual walkers, families pushing strollers, and everyone in between, Bloomsday encapsulates the spirit of inclusivity and celebration.

In its 48th race this year, Bloomsday will wind through Spokane’s picturesque streets, past parks and over bridges, offering breathtaking views and a palpable sense of community spirit that energizes the city.

9:05-9:20: Yellow & Green Groups

The Virtual Bloomsday Run extends the Spokane tradition globally, allowing participants to complete a 12-kilometer course at their own pace and location. This flexible format accommodates various fitness levels, fostering a virtual community of runners worldwide. Participants share experiences, track progress, and celebrate achievements online, maintaining the event’s spirit while embracing the virtual realm.

The Bloomsday Brunch Tradition
