COEUR D’ALENE RESORT SPA DAY

COEUR D’ALENE RESORT SPA DAY

When it’s Memorial Day weekend with rain in the forecast, there’s only one thing to do… Book a weekend at the Coeur d’Alene Resort including dinner at Beverly’s, dessert at Dockside (gooeys), and a morning spent at the luxurious spa.

Speaking of the spa

Inhale. Welcome to a land of water and cedars. Everything The Coeur d’Alene Resort Spa has to offer springs from natural Northwest elements—the water and stone, once shaping our local landscape’s ancient glaciers, now resides in our mountains, valleys, rivers and alpine lakes. At The Coeur d’Alene Resort Spa, water is everywhere—it flows, splashes, soothes, invigorates and cleanses.

Exhale. Let the stress leave your body and bask in ultimate relaxation. For four consecutive years, The Spa at The Coeur d’Alene, has been ranked one of the top resort spas in America.

We were treated to a romantic couples special which began with a couples aromatherapy massage (50 min / $250) where we received side-by-side Aromatic Massages. The romantic couple’s suite features a beautiful cozy fireplace and a spectacular lake view, where you can relax and reconnect as you receive your massages together.

After our massages, we took some much needed relaxation time and enjoyed the peace and quiet in the relaxation room.

We finished off with an Aroma Mineral Soak (15 min / $25) where we quickly escaped into total relaxation with this nourishing and detoxifying soak. Enjoy the serenity of an endless cascade of water as it streams over your shoulders and spills out beyond your toes.

This bath features massaging pipeless jets and triple-filtered mineral water that is sure to please. Personalize your bath with color therapy, minerals and a selection of aromatherapies to help you achieve pure bliss and well-being. Medicinal bathing is based on ancient water traditions where mineral springs were the source of health and healing.

After hours of pure relaxation at the spa, (did we mention that view?!) we were able to enjoy an extra special dinner in the private suite at Beverlys where we watched a stunning lake sunset.

We started our meal with their infamous orange rolls. It’s not a meal at Beverly’s without orange rolls! Next, we enjoyed a stunning calamari appetizer. Now, when’s the last time you heard the words stunning and calamari in the same sentence? That’s the thing with the food at Beverly’s… the presentation is almost as good as the food, which is really saying something.

We wanted this dinner to last as long as possible so we enjoyed a wedge salad and carrot curry soup before the main course. For the entree, we chose the amazing flaming Filet Mignon. They fire it up right at your table and it’s a great sight to see! On top of the fun presentation, it tasted absolutely amazing.

Now, of course, dessert. We ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake and finished every last piece. It’s the perfect portion size to split between two people. Though, let’s be honest, it’s not easy to share.

So, the next time you’re looking for a romantic Staycation, whether the forecast calls for rain or shine, the Coeur d’Alene Resort is the perfect way to spend your weekend!
