BISTANGO MARTINI LOUNGE

BISTANGO MARTINI LOUNGE

Bistango Martini Lounge is the perfect spot to meet up with friends after work and let loose with a great dinner and drinks. The staff at Bistango knows many of their customers by name and they have a great number of “regulars” that visit them often. They are conveniently located downtown right across from the main mall entrance.

The owner, Reema, created Bistango over 11 1/2 years ago as the first martini bar in town. She has put her heart and soul into Bistango and she truly loves being there. She calls it her “baby” and she has a blast while at work. Her staff has all been there for years which goes to show she has created a great environment for staff and customers.
As of last week, they will be serving up a different Spodie each week, all Summer long. The flavor will change each week featuring various fruist, citrus, berries, huckleberries, etc. You can get a large, refreshing glass for $10.

At Bistango Martini Lounge, you would expect a large drink menu, but 14 pages of creative drinks was sure impressive. The menu is full of cocktails you can only find here. But, this is not just a martini lounge. They also offer a very impressive wine list complete with a lot of local options for all preferences.
Some of their most popular drinks are the include Huckleberry Martini and the Mojito. Reem’s Drop is the owner, Reema’s, own creation and the sugar on the rim is crystalized so it isn’t sticky when you drink. The Reem’s Drop is made with Stolichnaya Vodka and house lemon juice, served with raw sugar crystallized rim. You can order this drink in lemon, strawberry, vanilla, or blueberry.
Thursday nights are a special night at Bistango Martini Lounge because you can get their Sirloin Cap Steak Dinner for only $12. This is a smoking deal! With this dish you get a great cut of meat served with caesar salad, rice, and garlic bread. This is sure to fill you up and you won’t have to pay an arm and a leg for a nice steak dinner downtown.

I also tried the Asian Salad with shrimp, salmon, chicken or ahi. Mine came with chicken and shrimp. This salad had that nice sweet ginger-sesame Asian flavor with a generous amount of cabbage, almonds, and green onions. You get bold flavor and a good crunch in each bite. This is the best Asian Salad I have had in town. It tasted fresh and was served chilled, as salads should be (some places in town still haven’t got this memo).
At Bistango, they believe in drinking their dessert. They showed me their “Fireworks Martini” which puts on quite the show. It is made with Kahula coffee liquer, Godiva liqueor and fresh espresso “sparked to perfection”. This is a real crowd pleaser. Make sure you are sitting near the middle of the bar if you want to see this drink being made in all of it’s action. It also made the whole restaurant smell like a fresh baked dessert. Win, Win!
