SPOKANE HOOPFEST 2023

SPOKANE HOOPFEST 2023

It’s almost time for one of our favorite weekends of the year in…. Spokane Hoopfest!

Whether you’re hooping it up on the court or cheering on from the sideline, you’re going to need to keep yourself well hydrated and nourished for peak performance. That’s where we come in.. we organized a list of some great spots to eat around town during Hoopfest weekend!

Sengsational Cuisine

There is nothing more special than discovering a family-owned and operated business that offers a unique and personal touch to their culinary creations. That is exactly what you receive from Sengsational Cuisine. With the love of cooking and wanting to share their talent in the community, the ‘very handsome’ father-son duo invested in a food truck and travel throughout the area offering a tasty Hawaiian-Asian fusion affair at various food markets and events in the Spokane area.

Brought to you with love and intention, their pork belly and teriyaki chicken are just two of their incredibly tasty options. If you are looking for something with a little bit of a spicy kick to it, then their beef bulgogi is the dish for you. Each of their favorites comes with a freshly cooked bed of rice and a side salad. They are excited to be a part of Hoopfest weekend again!

Tea’s Company

Tea Company, a local milk tea business run by two sisters from the Bay Area, will also be keeping everyone hydrated this year at Spokane Hoopfest. At their truck, they will be providing some of their best-selling drinks like Thai Milk Tea, consisting of a strong black milk tea with a hint of vanilla, half and half, and tapioca boba.

Not a milk tea fan? They got you covered with their peach tea lemonade featuring mango popping boba was packed to the max with fruity flavor and is highly recommended! You can also find them on the second floor of River Park Square mall if you’re looking to escape for some A/C.

Outside of Hoopfest, Tea Company is also offering a select menu of some of its sweet drinks at various food markets across Spokane. Make sure to catch them at the Fairwood Market on Tuesdays, the Kendall Yards Night Market on Wednesdays, South Perry on Thursdays, and Liberty Lake Market on Saturdays!

Tre Palline Gelato Napolitano

Tre Palline has operated stores for years across Germany and Italy, but after visiting the area, it was evident that the Inland Northwest was lacking great gelato, so they made it their mission! You can find their OG spot downtown, in the Steam Plant building. They’ve since expanded and are in the process of opening/or have recently opened stores in Cheney, Spokane Valley, with a fourth location coming soon for those on the north side of town!

Unique to Tre Palline is their famous pistachio gelato, utilizing pistachios straight from Italy with a one-of-a-kind trademarked base made right in-house! Tre Palline also offers a dairy-free gelato option, as well as around a dozen other great flavors!

Find them on their gelato bike this Saturday and Sunday at Spokane Hoopfest. They are all stocked and ready to bring some gelato that will have you feeling like you’re actually visiting Italy!

p.s. you can indulge without guilt because they also taught us that gelato has less sugar and less fat than traditional ice cream AND frozen yogurt! #winning

Other downtown spots we’d recommend:

Twigs Bistro

After a long and restless day of basketball games and hot weather, head over to River Park Square and make sure to check out the fresh flavors and summer menu items at Twigs Bistro and Bar.

The atmosphere of this eatery is one like no other, located on the third floor with tables on a landing and an overlooking view of downtown Spokane. Twigs always delivers an exceptional experience for their guests as they sit down and enjoy their chef-crafted American food and specialty cocktails. Plus, they offer food and drink happy hour specials daily 3-6 and 9-close!

Off the Wall

One of the newest additions to Spokane’s array of eateries is Off the Wall, located near the corner of Wall and Main. Open for lunch, dinner, and even your late-night cravings after a long day of Hoopfest, OTW is an indoor food truck and is a perfect choice for everyone.

You know those times when everyone wants something different to eat and you are trying to find something suitable for everyone in the least amount of time possible? At Off the Wall, you can order a taco, a gourmet hot dog, soups, salads, fries, and even a smash burger!

Nudo Ramen House

Nudo Ramen House is another great option in the downtown area, bringing that tasty ramen flavor to Spokane both in the food and the in-house design. The interior of Nudo Ramen House is a mix of Japan cool and clean lines, providing that open street feel as you sit and enjoy their many choices of ramen noodles.

No matter where you choose to dine this year, have fun and good luck! XOXO
